This comes just days after he sealed a summer loan move to Nottingham Forest.
Why was Zinchenko ordered to pay tax?
According to reports by The Sun, the England tax authority, HMRC, ordered Zinchenko to settle the amount after he lost a court battle involving his image rights company.
HMRC moved to shut it down through the High Court, citing unpaid taxes from his image rights.
The Ukraine international had placed his firm into voluntary liquidation.
The 28-year-old left-back, who struggled for minutes under Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta at the Emirates last season, joined Forest on loan in search of regular football.
However, the hefty tax demand has quickly overshadowed his fresh start at the City Ground.
Will Zinchenko make other payments?
In addition to the £300,000 tax bill, Zinchenko is also expected to pay his accountants £35,000 (about KSh 6 million).

At first, he managed his company solely, but he later restructured it and renamed Ozir Ltd under the ownership of Ukraine FA official Artemijs Rjabovs.
What Next for Zinchenko?
Forest boss Ange Postecoglou, who recently took charge following Nuno Espirito Santo’s exit, will be keen to integrate Zinchenko into his plans despite the off-field distractions.
The loanee is expected to feature in Forest’s upcoming Premier League clash against his parent club Arsenal on Saturday, September 13.
Zinchenko earns a reported £150,000 (about KSh 26 million) a week at the Emirates, which means it will take him just two weeks to earn enough to settle the tax bill.
