**Guido Rodriguez is holding out for an improved contract offer ahead of a potential exit from West Ham, its been reported by EXWHUEmployee.**
The Argentinian midfielder, who joined the club last year from Real Betis, has been heavily linked with a move away from east London during the summer transfer window, with a move back to Spain looking on the cards.
However a move did not materialise ahead of the closure of our transfer window on 1st September, prompting the belief that the player is to remain at the club until January at least.
It’s been reported by our insider Ex that there is still very much a chance Rodriguez could leave, with it understood that the player has opportunities in both Saudi and Mexico.
Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex has advised that Rodriguez is not overly keen on a move to Saudi, however is hoping a deal could maybe be reached for him to move to Mexico.
“Rodriguez is understood to be keen on a move to Mexico over Saudi,” reported Ex. “However, the offer he is hoping will be improved to align with what he has on the table from Saudi.
“I must stress though that there is no desire from Graham Potter for the player to leave, so he will be happy to retain him in the squad this season.
“It remains to be seen if the player can get a move away. The Mexican window closes on the 12th September so he doesn’t have long.”
