That’s the first Interlull of the 2025/26 campaign done and dusted – just 26 days until the next one begins – and, as far as we can tell, the Arsenal boys appear to have come through it unscathed. Touch wood.
Here’s what the first team squad have been up to…

**🇪🇸 SPAIN | David Raya, Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi**
**Bulgaria 0-3 Spain, WC Qualifier, Thursday 4th September**Zubimendi played 62 minutes and laid on the assist for Mikel Oyarzabal’s opener. Merino played the full 90 and scored a header from Lamine Yamal’s corner. Raya was unused.
**Turkey 0-6 Spain, WC Qualifier, Sunday 7th September**Merino played the full 90 and netted a hat-trick to make it six goals in his last six games. Zubimendi played 73 minutes before being replaced by Rodri. Raya was again an unused substitute.

🇧🇷 BRAZIL | Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli**
**Brazil 3-0 Chile, WC Qualifier, Friday 5th September**Martinelli played 71 minutes and Big Gabi played the full 90 as Brazil won comfortably at the Maracana.
**Bolivia 1-0 Brazil, WC Qualifier, Wednesday 10th September**Both Gabis were unused subs as the home side inflicted a shock defeat.

🇳🇱 HOLLAND | Jurrien Timber**
**Holland 1-1 Poland, WC Qualifier, Thursday 4th September**Timber was on an unused sub.
**Lithuania 2-3 Holland, WC Qualifier, Sunday 7th September**Timber played the final 28 minutes as the Dutch survived a Lithuanian comeback to take the points. His twin brother Quinten had put Holland two goals ahead.

🇪🇨 ECUADOR | Piero Hincapie**
**Paraguay 0-0 Ecuador, WC Qualifier, Friday 5th September**Hincapie played the full 90 as Ecuador secured a fourth consecutive 0-0 draw in WC qualifying.
**Ecuador 1-0 Argentina, WC Qualifier, Wednesday 10th September**Hincapie played the full 90 as Ecuador kept a fifth successive clean sheet in WC qualifying. Both sides traded red cards either side of the home side’s winning penalty, scored in first half stoppage time.

🇮🇹 ITALY | Riccardo Calafiori**
**Italy 5-0 Estonia, WC Qualifier, Friday 5th September**Calafiori played the full 90 minutes as a centre-back in Italy’s 5-0 rout of Estonia.
**Israel 4-5 Italy, WC Qualifier, Monday 8th September**Calafiori was an unused sub as the Azzurri came out victors at the death thanks to Sandro Tonali’s stoppage-time strike.

🏴 ENGLAND | Myles Lewis-Skelly, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze**
**England 2-0 Andorra, WC Qualifier, Saturday 6th September**Rice (68 mins), Eze (78 mins) , Lewis-Skelly (90 mins) and Madueke (90 mins) all started as England ground out a 2-0 win at Villa Park. Madueke grabbed an assist with a cross leading to an own goal before Rice doubled the lead with a header from a Reece-James assist.
**Serbia 0-5 England, WC Qualifier, Tuesday 9th September**Madueke played 76 minutes and scored his first goal for England, and Rice, who played 81 minutes, grabbed two assists as the Arsenal pair started in Belgrade. Eze was an unused sub, while Lewis-Skelly wasn’t selected.

🇳🇴 NORWAY | Martin Odegaard**
**Norway 1-0 Finland, Friendly, Thursday 4th September**Odegaard played the first half of his country’s friendly win as Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game.
**Norway 11-1 Moldova, WC Qualifier, Tuesday 9th September**Odegaard played the full 90 minutes and grabbed two assists and a goal as Norway ran riot. Erling Haaland scored five goals while some lad called Aasgaard, who sounds like he should be in our defence, netted four.

🇸🇪 SWEDEN | Viktor Gyokeres**
**Slovenia 2-2 Sweden, WC Qualifier, Friday 5th September**Gyokeres played the full 90 minutes and registered an assist for Yasin Ayari as Sweden surrendered a two-goal lead to draw with Slovenia in Ljubljana.
**Kosovo 2-0 Sweden, WC Qualifier, Monday 8th September**Gyokeres played the full 90 minutes as a Swedish high line was exposed by the hosts.

🇧🇪 BELGIUM | Leandro Trossard**
**Liechtenstein 0-6 Belgium, WC Qualifier, Thursday 4th September**Trossard came off the bench to play the final 23 minutes.
**Belgium 6-0 Kazakhstan, WC Qualifier, Sunday 7th September**Trossard played 63 minutes as his country netted six goals for the second time in a week.

🏴 ENGLAND U19s | Max Dowman**
**England 2-0 Ukraine (in Spain), Friendly, Wednesday 3rd September**Dowman played the final 20 minutes.
**England 3-3 Spain (in Spain), Friendly, Saturday 6th September**Dowman played 69 minutes and won a penalty in the second half. He drew seven fouls from his marker inside the first 36 minutes.
**England 4-1 Holland (in Spain), Friendly, Tuesday 9th September**Dowman played the first half leaving the pitch at 3-0.

🏴 ENGLAND U20s | Tommy Setford**
**England vs Italy, Friendly, Friday 5th September**Picked up an injury playing for Arsenal and didn’t join up with the national team

🏴 ENGLAND U21s | Ethan Nwaneri**
**Kazakhstan 0-2 England, U21 Euro Qualifier, Monday 8th September**Nwaneri played 76 minutes, opened the scoring, and was awarded the player-of-the-match award as Lee Carsley’s side kicked off their defence of the U21 EURO title with a win.

🇪🇸 SPAIN U21s | Cristhian Mosquera**
**Spain 3-0 Cyprus, U21 Euro Qualifier, Friday 5th September**Mosquera played the full 90 minutes, captaining his country to a clean sheet.
**Kosovo 1-3 Spain, U21 Euro Qualifier, Tuesday 9th September**Mosquera was absent from the squad that won in Pristina. Hmm.
