Guido Rodriguez has no intention of moving to the Saudi Pro League, as Claret & Hugh reported last week.
In recent days, speculation suggested the Argentine midfielder could be tempted by a mega-money deal in the Middle East. However, as we revealed, the move was vetoed by his agent in favour of exploring other options.
According to ExWHUEmployee, Rodriguez would prefer a return to Mexico, but Claret & Hugh understands this push is being driven by his representatives. Ideally, the 31-year-old wanted to join a La Liga club, but West Ham were unwilling to sanction a loan unless his significant wages were fully covered.

Rodriguez has options to leave West Ham
Speaking exclusively to C&H, an intermediary tasked with finding Rodriguez a club explained:
“There was a deal to go to Saudi for €8m per year net, which is more than he’s getting now. But his agent was convinced that a Mexican club could match the deal, which is crazy. They’ve been in talks with Mexican clubs for five weeks and the money still hasn’t been found.”
While there remains a chance Rodriguez could leave the club, the clock is ticking fast, with both the Mexican and Saudi transfer windows set to close shortly.
