Steel notes: Ugly win, Peppers a fit

I felt a little bad when my 20-year-old nephew called me immediately after the Steelers won. Bad because I didn't intend to deflate his energy over watching what he deemed an "exciting" Steelers win. Now that I'm approaching 50 years old, I no longer view these games from a win-or-lose fan perspective. I enjoy analyzing games, particularly those of the Steelers, from a roster construction and utilization perspective.

Let's get into that, starting with my dislikes, and before ending on some high notes.

There's no need for me to go into too much detail about Broderick Jones' play. Same with Keeanu Benton. But when the first and second-round picks in Omar Khan's first draft, who are supposed to be the start and heart of the trench rebuild, are getting destroyed, it's disheartening.
