Commanders’ Javon Kinlaw turns heads with ‘ice bag’ claim ahead of TNF vs. Packers

TheGreen Bay Packers have a big challenge ahead in Week 2 following their win over the Detroit Lions last Sunday at Lambeau Field. Up next for Jordan Love and company is a date with the Washington Commanders, who are also coming off a win in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL regular season, as they took down the New York Giants at Northwest Stadium in Landover, 21-6.

Washington presents different types of problems for the Packers. For one, the Commanders have a dynamic quarterback in Jayden Daniels, a dual-threat weapon for Washington. Defensively, Washington has lots of playmakers as well, including veteran defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, who is expecting a tough outing for both sides.

Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw is quickly becoming one of my favorite dudes in that locker room.

He will always shoot you straight.

I asked Javon about this game on Thursday.

He told me, “it’s going to be a heavyweight bout…it’s an ice bag game.”
