Cam Reddish nearing move to Europe after six years in the NBA

Cam Reddish is in advanced talks to leave the NBA after six seasons and begin a new chapter in Lithuania with BC Siauliai, sources tell BasketNews.

Cam Reddish, the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is expected to leave the NBA after six seasons and take his talents to Lithuania.

According to BasketNews sources, the 26-year-old wing is in advanced talks to sign with BC Šiauliai, a club with a solid track record in Lithuanian basketball.

Reddish's contract would include an exit clause for the 2025–26 season, allowing him to leave if opportunities in the NBA, EuroLeague, or other top-level competitions emerge.

Reddish looks to establish himself on the European stage, hoping that a strong showing in Lithuania could open doors to some of the continent's top clubs or the NBA.

Other NBA players, like Kevin Porter Jr., have also taken their talents overseas—using a stint in Greece to rebuild their value before making a successful return to the NBA. Others, such as fellow former Duke standout Jabari Parker, have remained in Europe, carving out strong careers at the highest level with clubs in Spain and Serbia.

Reddish would be surrounded by familiar NBA ties at BC Siauliai. Former NBA big man and longtime San Antonio Spurs assistant under Gregg Popovich, Darius Songaila, has taken over as head coach to begin his head coaching career.

The negotiations were conducted by Ginas Rutkauskas—widely regarded as the most accomplished GM in Lithuanian basketball history—who joined BC Šiauliai this offseason and would position Reddish as the standout among his well-rounded offseason acquisitions.

Reddish is coming off a season with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he averaged 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per game.

Cam Reddish 2024-25 NBA season highlights

Over six NBA seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Lakers, Reddish posted career averages of 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23 minutes per contest.

In his last NBA chapter, Reddish opened the 2023–24 season with the Los Angeles Lakers on a strong note.

He averaged 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists early in November 2023. He played a significant role in the team's run to the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament title, contributing 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 33 minutes during the championship win over the Indiana Pacers.

Reddish was part of a historic Duke trio, as he, Zion Williamson, and RJ Barrett were all selected in the top 10 of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Recognized among NBA peers for his raw talent and skill set, Reddish remains one of the league's most intriguing untapped talents.
