Mina Kimes, renowned sports journalist, recently reacted to Washington Commanders starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels’ Japanese roots. Kimes was definitely excited with the news, just like millions of other Asians who are just finding out about Daniels’ ethnicity.
In the Week 1 matchup between the Commanders and the New York Giants, Daniels was spotted with a Japanese flag decal on his helmet. The quarterback later on admitted that the flag was meant to honor his maternal great-grandmother who is actually Japanese. The revelation made many Asians go nuts with this newfound information.

Mina Kimes’ comments about Jayden Daniels’ ethnicity definitely ring true, with fans going ballistic after learning about the quarterback’s maternal great-grandmother. Daniels, who is in his sophomore season with the Washington Commanders, was on fire in the Week 1 matchup against the New York Giants.
The talented quarterback managed a single touchdown after completing 19 passes out of 30 attempts, leading his team to an incredible 21-6 win against the New York Giants. Daniels and the Commanders will be soon meeting the Green Bay Packers in the upcoming week of the NFL season.
