How much? Barca learn 'substantial' asking price for Juve superstar Yildiz

Barcelona have reportedly been informed that the starting price for Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz is €80m (£69m).

Yildiz, 20, is believed to be firmly on Barcelona's radar, with the reigning La Liga champions said to be seriously considering making a move for him during next summer's transfer window.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and club president Joan Laporta are said to be 'falling in love' with Yildiz, viewing the Turkey international as the ideal player to boost their squad.

However, according to Fichajes, a move for the attacker will not come cheap, with the Catalan outfit being told that the starting price for Yildiz is €80m (£69m).

Once various add-ons have been taken into consideration, it is possible that the transfer could be pushed towards €100m (£86.5m), making it a significant deal for the club.

Juventus 'want at least £69m' for Barcelona-linked Yildiz

Yildiz made the move to Juventus from Bayern Munich in 2022, and he has represented the Old Lady on 86 occasions in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and registering 13 assists in the process.

Last season, the Turkey international scored 12 goals and registered nine assists in 52 appearances, including three goals and two assists in four appearances at the Club World Cup.

Yildiz has two assists in two Serie A matches this season, and he represented Turkey twice during the September international break, taking to the field against Georgia and Spain.

Juventus are in a strong position when it comes to the attacker's future, as his contract is due to run until June 2029, while he is said to be happy with life in Turin.

Could Barcelona sign Yildiz next summer?

Marcus Rashford has not hit the ground running at Barcelona, and there is every chance that the Catalan outfit will decide against signing the Manchester United attacker on a permanent basis next summer, unless he is able to really impress in the coming months.

Robert Lewandowski is out of contract next June, while Fermin Lopez continues to be linked with a departure, so there could be room in the squad for a big-money attacker to arrive next summer.

Yildiz mainly operates off the left, but he is also capable of featuring on the right and through the middle, and the youngster has the potential to be a real superstar for the La Liga giants in the coming years.

Barcelona's financial problems make a deal difficult, though, so there will have to be some movement next summer in order for the club to be in a position to complete a transfer of this size.
