‘He’s at a brutal level’ – Barcelona’s next La Masia star making waves at Youth Club World Cup

Barcelona young stars are currently taking on clubs from Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Italy in a bid to win the Youth Club World Cup.

The Catalans have reached the final of the tournament, beating Palmeiras in the semi-finals and

Corinthians in the quarter-finals, and have seen one player in particular impress.

Teenage winger Iu Martínez has been shining for Barcelona, being described as “the most underrated” player in La Masia for his performances so far.

The 16-year-old has also been wowing the club with his performances, according to Diario Sport.

“He is at a brutal level,” is what is apparently being said about the teenager right now. “His character, humility and competitive ability reminds us of Puyol’s.”

He’s described by Sport as being a super quick and powerful winger with the heart and grit of Carles Puyol.

Barcelona will certainly be hoping Martinez can replicate his great form and help the Catalans bring the trophy home.

After that, he’ll certainly be one to keep an out for in the future.
