Michail Antonio will not be returning to West Ham’s senior squad as a free agent.
The striker was an unused substitute once again for Jamaica in their World Cup qualifier in Kingston overnight. He continues to train with West Ham’s under-21s to maintain fitness but will not be offered a short-term contract.

As reported earlier this morning, Celtic remain an option for West Ham’s record goalscorer, who, as a free agent, can still join interested clubs outside the transfer window. However, a top C&H transfer source dismissed any chance of an East London reunion, bluntly stating: “No way, it ain’t happening.”
West Ham are currently facing something of a mini injury crisis up front, following Niclas Füllkrug’s setback on international duty. That leaves Callum Wilson and Callum Marshall as the only available senior strikers, leading some to speculate Antonio might return.
But it is now clear the Hammers won’t turn back to their former talisman. With Füllkrug’s injury believed to be far less serious than first feared, West Ham have no plans to make any drastic moves.
