Christian Eriksen may have finally found his new club after leaving Manchester United this summer, with a move to VfL Wolfsburg on the cards.
That’s [according to Tipsbladet](https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/bundesliga/afsloering-kaempe-bombe-wolfsburg-henter-eriksen), who report that the former Manchester United man has now reached a contract agreement with the German club.
The Danish midfielder left Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer and has made it clear that he fancied a move to a club in Europe rather than staying in the Premier League after his spells at Tottenham, United and Brentford.
Finding a club has proven to be harder than expected, though, with the 33-year-old training at Swedish side Malmö FF to maintain his fitness.
That had seen his receive criticism from the likes of Thomas Gravesen, who believed it showed a lack of ambition on the player’s part. How he feels about Wolfsburg remains to be seen.
But Tipsbladet report that they have agreed contractual terms with Eriksen and only the formalities needed to worked out on that front.
Indeed, a plane is believed to have flown from Odense to Braunschweig today with Eriksen on board. He is set to undergo a medical and then sign his contract with the Bundesliga club.
That’ll bring an end to a mini saga around the Danish midfielder, who might have expected to find himself a new club sooner after leaving Manchester United this summer.
