FOOTBALL. IS. BACK. Which means that football fashion here at BroBible is back.
You didn’t really think your fall Sundays were for things like ‘errands’ or ‘responsibilities,’ did you? Psssh. Not me. I’m planting my tush in front of the TV and doomscrolling for updates about my fantasy league for the next 20-some weeks. That spot on your couch has your name written all over it.
Which means I’m in a perfect position to armchair quarterback piping hot takes about what people in the NFL are wearing.
But let’s be honest, the walk into the stadium these days gets hyped as much as the charge out of the tunnel onto the field. The first battle of the week is now the game day drip, where the stadium tunnel transforms into the world’s most-watched runway. It’s where a player can set the tone for his entire season, build his brand, and prove his style game is just as dominant as his on-field performance.
Week 1 was the season premiere, and these guys came dressed to win. The go-to look is a perfect mix of high-end luxury and high-hype streetwear. Think a Louis Vuitton bag paired with some casual shorts and a pair of Jordans, aka the official uniform of the modern multimillionaire professional athlete.
Let’s start with the Swoosh.
The Week 1 Nike Collab Checklist
Here are the Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations worn by NFL players in Week 1, as spotted by the eagle-eyed at SoleRetriver.com. Go check out more pics + fits over there!
Travis Scott’s collabs with Nike and Jordan Brand seem to still be the undisputed kings of hype. Three notable Cactus Jacks in Week 1, so we had to ask: who wore them best? And here’s where to buy the…
Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 Retro (Deonte Banks, CB, New York Giants)
Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Force 1 Low (Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants)
Drake’s Nike Air Force 1 Low Certified Lover Boy (Javontae Jean-Baptiste, DE, Washington Commanders)
eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low (Rakeem Nunez Roches, DT, New York Giants)
Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low (Jon Runyan Jr., G, New York Giants)
Lil Yachty’s Nike Air Force 1 Low (Ja’Sir Taylor, CB, Los Angeles Chargers)
Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 High (Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals)
Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 (Quay Walker, LB, Green Bay Packers)
Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG (Darious Slay, CB, Pittsburgh Steelers)
Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG (Jevon Holland, S, New York Giants)
Off-White x Nike Air Presto (Shaq Thompson, LB, Buffalo Bills)
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 Retro (George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers)
Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low (Jarrick Bernard-Converse, CB, Cleveland Browns)
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG (Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers)
Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG (Haason Reddick, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Voodoo” (Alohi Gilman, S, Los Angeles Chargers)
I think George Kittle’s were the best (on the left above). But kudos to Tetairoa McMillan for the statement too (on the right).
Anyway, here’s our breakdown of other notable fits and fashion around the NFL in Week 1.
Travis Kelce
The world’s most interesting foreign diplomat? vibes
Stepping off the plane in Brazil for the NFL’s international game, Kelce decided to remind everyone he’s on a different level. He rocked a slick KidSuper embroidered suit paired with a ridiculously expensive $6,000 Bottega Veneta duffle bag. It kinda gives me Zorro-meets-International-Man-Of-Mystery vibes. The guy has stepped it up in a major way since gracing the BroBible office with his blouse-and-jeans fit nine years ago.

Kyler Murray
Flexin’ on ’em in shorts
Kyler Murray knows exactly what he’s doing. He showed up in a pink jacket, jorts, and a pair of ultra-rare all-white Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s. The internet immediately exploded with memes about how the fit made him look short. But here’s the genius part: everyone was talking about Kyler Murray. He picked an outfit that made him look good and win in the war for off-field attention. And the Cardinals beat a disorganized and chaotic Saints team. So

Darious Slay
The IYKYKY King
For his debut with the Steelers against the Giants, Slay could’ve gone with something loud and flashy. Instead, he opted for subtle and confident. His whole fit was built around a pair of Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Lows matching his Gucci bag. It’s a sneaker for true connoisseurs, and the shoe’s name, “Better With Time,” was a slick nod to his veteran status. This collab sold out lightning fast on Nike.com.
But his performance? Eeek. At least the kicks were cool.
The New York Giants + Cameron “Natureboy” Skattebo
The New York Giants might be the most fashionable team in the NFL right now.
Despite the Week 1 L to the Commanders, the New York Giants are making a strong case for the most fashionable team in the NFL. Russell Wilson showed up in a Big Blue suit, Jameis Winston went full prep with blue jeans, and Jevon Holland, with that freshly signed $45 million contract, rocked a pair of Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in a rare Euro-exclusive White colorway. Jon Runyan Jr. showed up wearing the instantly iconic Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low.
But their rookie class is a huge reason why. You’ve got Abdul Carter already making waves, rocking his iced-out “INCRDBL” chain and classic Black Cement Air Jordan 3s. But you gotta give daps to fellow rookie Cameron Skattebo. Leaning hard into his Ric Flair-inspired “Natureboy” nickname, he had his wrestling fit mastered, complete with a custom “Skat 44” bag, paired perfectly with some Jordan 1 Lows. A rookie who already knows how to build a brand with confidence and a sense of humor is dangerous.
Travis Hunter
The power move that cost zero dollars.
Known for his signature dreads his whole career, he showed up for Week 1 with a fresh buzz cut. The internet went into a frenzy, and the guy showed up to blow minds in his NFL debut against the Panthers. He managed to become the ONLY player over the last 20 seasons with 5+ receptions and 5+ defensive snaps in a game. Truly a “new era, new focus” in Jacksonville.
Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter has cut his dreads ahead of his NFL debut.

Tetairoa McMillan
Securing the Bag, Literally
The Cardinals’ rookie is already a Jordan Brand athlete, and he used his first tunnel walk as a walking billboard in the best way possible. He rocked a pair of the iconic Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Lows with the backwards swoosh, activating his endorsement deal on the biggest stage of his young career. Aura off the charts, but tough to hit expectations against a Jags team that’s starting hot this year.
DeAndre Carter
Probably the coolest flex/spot of the week went to Browns punt returner/receiver DeAndre Carter, who wore the mythical Nike SB Dunk Low “Freddy Krueger”, according to eagle-eyed fellas over at SoleRetriver. Carter’s gameday outfits have always been immaculate, but this one was special for the sneakerheads. These are a “holy grail” for collectors, valued at tens of thousands of dollars, thanks to some lore that caused some scarcity in the early 2000s. You’d be hard-pressed to find a pair in good condition under $20,000 on all the resale sites right now. Very cool flex.
Here, educate yourself on the lore:
