Bronny James did not exactly have a mind-blowing rookie campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers. While there were some flashes of brilliance here and there from the 6-foot-2 shooting guard, James played the role of a reserve player for L.A. for the most part of his debut season.
This is exactly why the 20-year-old is working hard in the offseason to potentially make a bigger impact on his team in Year 2. On top of that, James has also decided to take up a new sport — one that his father, LeBron James, has also grown quite fond of during the summer.
A video of Bronny James showing off his golf swing is currently making its rounds on social media. In it, the former USC standout exhibits how much progress he’s made in his new hobby after just four months of practice.

LeBron James caught wind of the clip, and so did his wife, Savannah James. The two had a proud parent moment as they both flexed Bronny’s skills on the golf course.
“That boy smooth!!” wrote LeBron James on Instagram, while his better half shared the video along with a hearts emoji.

LeBron James himself had significantprogress in his golf game, and it appears that even this sport runs in the family. Based on the video above, it is clear that Bronny James has also taken huge strides in learning golf, or at least when it comes to his drives.
It’s officially still the offseason for the NBA, which means that both LeBron and Bronny James still have ample time to keep on working on their respective golf skills. The Lakers’ training camp starts in October, though, and there is no doubt that both father and son will be locked in ahead of what they’re hoping will be a bounce-back campaign for L.A.
