West Ham are reportedly in talks to re-sign Lukasz Fabianski after they rejected the chance to sign Andre Onana from Man United.
The Hammers haven’t had a great start to the season, the lack of transfer business was a concern, and the first two games looked woeful under Graham Potter, putting the manager under serious pressure. Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho are two names touted with the job.
They did win 3-0 against Nottingham Forest last time out, but even so, the pressure remains heavy on Potter and the West Ham board to put things right. However, they recently saw the departure of goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, meaning that Potter is left with just two keepers.

It now seems they have found their potential replacement, in former Hammer and Arsenal stopper Lukasz Fabianski, who is a free agent at the age of 40. Reports have said that the Hammers are in talks to re-sign the Poland international as Potter would like more depth behind Alfonse Areola and Mads Hermansen.
West Ham rejected chance to sign Andre Onana
However, a fresh report by talkSPORT reveals that the Hammers had been offered Manchester United keeper Onana during the August transfer window, and that they rejected the chance to sign him in favour of other options (Fabianski).
Onana did eventually get his move from Man United, as he joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan. However, it seems that the London Stadium was a potential option for the Cameroonian international, who has built a reputation for making serious mistakes in goal for Ruben Amorim’s side.
As the Hammers decided against signing Onana, it seems they have taken the cheaper option and are trying to re-sign Fabianski, who made over 200 appearances for West Ham. He only left as a free agent in June when his contract expired, this shows just how desperate the Hammers are for reinforcements at the back.
