Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was refusing to acknowledge head coach Ruben Amorim in training before the international break, according to the Sun.
The Red Devils star was showing a lack of involvement and interest in working for the team in the final days before the break.
Onana’s relationship with the Portuguese has broken down since the start of pre-season when the Cameroon international picked up a hamstring injury in the first training sessions for the new season.
The out-of-favour Man United goalie is set to join Trabzonspor on loan, and Amorim feels that his exit has cleansed the last remaining negative training ground influence.
The Red Devils boss believes getting rid of Onana will give his dressing the atmosphere he wants after the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony were shown the exit.
It emerged that the Cameroon international had been playing on a dangerously muddy pitch back at home during the break.
Onana returned to the club this summer wanting a new contract, which did not go down well with Amorim.
He reported an issue with his hamstring on day one of pre-season, and then a full injury on day two.
It left Man United staff questioning what shape he was in after the summer to suffer such a problem straight away.
Amorim has been using Altay Bayindir as his first-choice goalie in the Premier League so far this season, while highly-rated Belgian Senne Lammens was signed on transfer deadline day.
Onana was in goal when Man United faced League Two club Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, but he was at fault for the two goals conceded and did not make a save in the 12-11 loss during the penalty shoot-out.
