The 12th Man is officially broken after watching the San Francisco 49ers waltz into Lumen Field and steal a 17-13 victory. We are referring to the Seattle Seahawks supporters who are almost ready to wave the white flag on home games entirely.

It was supposed to be a raucous season opener for Seattle as they started the season at home. But now it turned into a nightmare scenario that has fans questioning everything they knew about their beloved franchise.
The embarrassment wasn’t just losing to a division rival. It burned even deeper when their own stadium got colonized by red and gold jerseys while their team stumbled through another lackluster outing. So, exhausted fans decided to trend “Cancel Home Game” across platforms.
Fed-Up Seahawks Fans Make “Cancel Home Game” Trend Go Viral
Despite pre-game predictions that 49ers fans would make up 53% of the crowd, the Seattle Seahawks on Monday reported that only 11% of the fans on Sunday were San Francisco supporters.
Still, the visual impact of red and gold in the stands was striking. A video showed that 49ers were in huge numbers at Lumen Field, which upset many Seahawks fans.

Captioned, “We should cancel home games for the rest of the season… I’m so dead serious,” and the clip went viral instantly. That single tweet opened the floodgates that have been brewing for years.
In the comment section, everyone agreeing with him started to make the same comment.
One responseread, “Maturing is realizing in 2025 the home field advantage will never be the same as the 2010s.”
Anotherwrote, “This stadium is our weakness.”
A third fanclaimed, “Bunch of cucks worshipping people that h8 them. Almost crying over a child’s game.”
A fourth fanwrote, “I’m a Chargers fan and it’s the same thing. Zero home field advantage.”
Anotherclaimed, “You can cancel all of them for all I care, home and away.”
A sixthpenned, “Should’ve seen MetLife yesterday, covered in terrible towels.”
The history book reveals the harsh reality behind this downfall of fan support. The Seahawks are now 16-19 at home since fans returned to Lumen Field in 2021. They are1-7 in their last eight home games. These are in no way just bad breaks.

Fans also watched their season tickets end up in the hands of opposing supporters, turning their stadium into enemy territory. When your own stadium becomes a liability, the nuclear option starts looking reasonable.
Seattle Got Red-Zoned by 49ers Fans
Sunday’s game showcased everything wrong with the current Seahawks era. Despite Cooper Kupp bringing in his first catch as a Seahawk for 9 yards, the offense couldn’t sustain drives. Sam Darnold’s debut was forgettable, and the defense couldn’t containChristian McCaffrey’s 25-yard catch-and-run that helped seal the victory.

The Niners controlled the game despite losing tight end George Kittle to injury in the second half. Brock Purdy threw for 277 yards and kept the attack steady, while Seattle struggled to move the ball in key moments.
For a franchise that once ruled the loudest stadium, watching opposing fans celebrate in their house is a rock-bottom feeling. So, tired fans went as far as to call for home games to be canceled.
