The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to win their first playoff game in nearly a decade. In pursuit of the ever-elusive playoff win, Pittsburgh had one of the busiest offseasons across the league.
One of the major moves Pittsburgh made was adding veteran quarterback and four-time MVP winner Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers impressed in Week One against his previous team, the New York Jets, throwing for four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 34-32 win.
As good as Rodgers looked, health is never guaranteed in the NFL, and the Steelers have been forced to replace one of the quarterbacks behind Rodgers, which could have serious implications for the rest of the season, especially considering that Rodgers is over 40 years old.
“Steelers roster moves today: Signed S Jabrill Peppers to a one-year contract. Signed CB James Pierre from the Practice Squad to the Active Roster. Signed QB Logan Woodside to the Practice Squad. Placed LB Malik Harrison and QB Skylar Thompson on injured reserve,” [reported ESPN’s Senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.](https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1965789623059443955)
Fans reacted to the roster moves on social media.
“Peppers is a one-year flier that could turn into a perfect Mike Tomlin project,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Peppers adds bite, but losing two on IR might hurt more than the new signings heal,” another fan added.
“How does one get injured holding a clipboard? Interesting,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the roster moves pan out.
