Real Madrid trail Barcelona in 2025/26 Champions League odds

The odds afforded to Spanish football’s two biggest clubs of going all the way in this season’s edition of the Champions League have this week been provided by statisticians Opta.

And they place Hansi Flick’s Barcelona ahead of tournament specialists Real Madrid.

Both, though, find themselves outside the top four.

Leading the way according to Opta’s data are reigning Premier League champions Liverpool, considered clear favourites with a 20.4% chance of clinching glory on the continent.

Next up come a club who have never lifted the Champions League, in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Taking the three and four spots are reigning tournament holders Paris Saint-Germain, and 2023 winners Manchester City.

Then come Barcelona, who, after coming within a whisker of a Champions League final berth last season, have been handed odds of 8.4%.

Club World Cup winners Chelsea are in turn followed by Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid in 7th, at 5.8%.
