Green Bay Packers: 4 Starters Have Concerning Injury Status Ahead of Thursday Night Football vs …

The Green Bay Packers are preparing for another big game against powerhouse NFC competition. Thursday night, Lambeau Field will host a primetime clash between Green Bay and the Washington Commanders. Heading into the contest, the Pack have some significant injury news that will impact starters on both sides of the ball. In addition to offensive starters like Zach Tom, Micah Parsons is also being labeled as questionable.

Green Bay Packers Offensive Line Could Be Down 2 Starters on Thursday Night

In Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions, the Green Bay Packers played excellently on offense. However, the unit might be down two key starters up front due to injuries suffered during the Lions game. Right tackle Zach Tom came out of the game after a collision with Lions star Aiden Hutchinson. He is officially listed as having an oblique injury. Furthermore, Aaron Banks, whom the team brought over from San Francisco in this summer’s free agency period, finished the game on the sideline due to an ankle issue. Banks also has a groin problem listed on the injury report.

Both Tom and Banks are officially questionable for Thursday’s contest. If they cannot go, backups Jordan Morgan and Darian Kinnard will be filling in as they did on Sunday. As Green Bay looks to have another good performance in the trenches, two backups might be asked to fill some pretty big shoes against a threatening Washington defensive front.

For what its worth, the Packers pass protection was excellent all game against Detroit, with and without Tom and Banks in the lineup. The entire unit deserves a lot of credit for handling multiple blitzes and pressures from Detroit. Even running backs Josh Jacobs and Chris Brooks had some outstanding moments in pass pro.

Green Bay Packers Injury Updates: Micah Parsons Labeled Questionable on a Short Week

It’s no secret that Micah Parsons is not quite at full strength yet due to back concerns that have lingered for the duration of his time so far with Green Bay. Coming off a week where he played less than 30 snaps on defense, Parsons was limited in all three practices heading towards Thursday. He enters gameday with the questionable designation.

Parsons was very effective despite limited action against Detroit. Fans can expect that his workload will not increase very much if at all due to the quick turnaround on a short week. After the Commanders game is when Parsons will be able to really make strides towards getting back to 100%.

Will Nate Hobbs Make His Green Bay Packers Debut?

Cornerback Nate Hobbs, the former Las Vegas Raider who joined the Pack this offseason, missed the opening contest of the 2025 season due to a knee issue that caused him problems throughout training camp. Hobbs was a limited participant in practice leading up to Thursday, and is officially questionable as well.

There exists some optimism that Hobbs will play, but at this point, it is anyone’s guess. Hobbs would be a big boost for a Packers secondary that will have their hands full with Deebo Samuel, who is coming off of an excellent debut game with Washington, Terry McLaurin, who will be looking to bounce back from an underwhelming performance, and Noah Brown, who is off the injury report and ready to make his season debut.

Regardless of who is suiting up, stopping quarterback Jayden Daniels will be a tall task for even a top defense. Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will need a big performance from his unit to emerge victorious on Thursday night.
