All eyes are currently on EuroBasket, which is giving players from all over the world a chance to show off their basketball skills.
It’s a great way to make home countries proud and also secure contracts in the NBA.
According to Ian Begley, the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Portland Trail Blazers are “showing interest” in Roman Sorkin of Israel.
The 29-year-old big man plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Ligat HaAl and EuroLeague, but he could be coming to the NBA very soon.

Sorkin has been in the United States before, spending four years playing college ball for Oregon.
He appeared in 74 games with that team and came off the bench for most of them.
Despite being a big man, Sorkin was a strong shooter at Oregon and sank 47 percent of his buckets from the field.
However, his college average was just 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
Since the 2017-18 season, Sorkin has spent his time with Israeli teams and has produced a lot more, with an average of 15.9 points per game, along with 6.1 rebounds last year.
He has appeared in six games at EuroBasket, producing 16.5 points per game on 51 percent from the field.
If he does earn a contract in the NBA, he probably wouldn’t get many minutes.
The Heat, Knicks, and Trail Blazers have been tied to multiple players during the offseason, but they would be able to get Sorkin for an inexpensive contract.
He could be a low-risk, high-reward player with a cheap deal.
If he keeps playing well at EuroBasket, he could be back in the NBA in no time.
