'Buckle down and get ready' | Sean McDermott, Josh Allen and Bills players on facing the New…

### **A tough week ahead**

The Bills rightfully celebrated their epic comeback win against the Ravens in Week 1. Now, it's about correcting the mistakes and getting ready for Week 2.

After allowing 40 points to the Ravens and failing to keep some drives alive offensively, McDermott and his players know there's things to fix before facing the Jets on Sunday.

"We've got to make sure that this week is hard, this week really needs to be hard for us as a team even though you win the game," McDermott said. "It's too early in the season to say, 'Hey you know this or that.' It's we got to buckle down and get ready for us and how we can improve."

"I know Coach talked about it in the meeting room today," quarterback Josh Allen said of McDermott's tough mentality this week. "And, this is a tough sport. It's not for everybody. You got to be a little sick to love this game, and we got some sickos."

Defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who was a huge factor in the Week 1 win thanks to a forced fumble, felt the toughness of the week in Wednesday's practice.

"Full pads on a Wednesday after a 60-minute game, where we had to play all 60 minutes is a little challenging," Oliver said. "It's trying mentally to get yourself back right. And you're still kind of hurting…You put on a full pads and you go out there and you compete because that's who we are."

Aside from an intense practice, a hard week to McDermott means having meaningful, truthful conversations.

"Making sure we all know where we can improve, not beating around the bush in those conversations because if you don't know what you have to improve on, how are you going to go out and improve it?" McDermott said.
