Broncos vs. Colts preview

Denver, Colo. (KKTV) - During week one, the Broncos offense looked like a group that didn’t play a whole lot during preseason. Really sluggish, no rhythm.

Now they will face a Colts defense that confused the Miami Dolphins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sacking him three times and forcing three turnovers. This week in practice the Broncos want to find their rhythm before heading to Indianapolis.

“Some mistakes, Tennessee kind of came out in some different looks than we expected. It’s the first game of the season it’s hard to exactly know what the other teams going to do. Biggest thing is just going out there and executing the first couple plays. We execute that 1st drive, plays will start coming. We start getting comfortable and we kind of just get on the same page,” wideout Marvin Mims said.

New Colts quarterback Daniel Jones had a resurgence in week one having three touchdowns in a Colts win. I don’t care if it’s Indiana Jones or Danny Dimes at quarterback. This Broncos defense is legit. Pass Rushers coming off the edge and great play in the secondary.

“You have a team that’s coming in with confidence. They’re playing at home, we got to make sure we disrupt that. Can’t give them a peaceful night,” outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper said.

Typically, when your safety leads the team in tackles, that means your defense didn’t play well. But that was the opposite last week against the Titans where Talanoa Hufanga led the team with 10 tackles but was coming up stopping three yard runs and three yard passes from being long gains.

“Its amazing. I mean he is a hitting machine, it’s just exciting to watch,” said cornerback Jahdae Barron.

Seeing his tape definitely inspired me. I am sure happy he is on our side. Great addition. He’s a heck of a football player. I mean We are just watching that film just gives me more motivation to keep being the best I can be," Jonathon Cooper.

The Broncos look to go 2 and 0 this week in Indianapolis.
