LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The Chicago Bears didn't officially practice on Wednesday afternoon as they began preparation for the Week 2 showdown against the Detroit Lions, but instead they had a walkthrough. However, there was potentially some good news regarding a key injury.
Chicago released a participation report based on an estimation from Wednesday and listed as FULL is defensive back Jaylon Johnson. That means that if the Bears did practice, Johnson would have participated in FULL.
Johnson missed all of training camp and preseason with a groin injury and was limited in practice last week before missing the Week 1 opener. But with today's estimation, it is a good sign moving forward for this week. The hope is that Johnson is good to go and can make his season debut this week.
While there was good news with Johnson, there's not-so-good news with a few other players.
Defensive back Kyler Gordon missed Monday's game with a hamstring injury that popped up last week. Today, Gordon was listed as a DNP, meaning he would not practice. Here is the full injury report for Wednesday:

- DB Kyler Gordon (Hamstring)
- DL Grady Jarrett (Knee)
LIMITED
- LB T.J. Edwards (Hamstring)
- DB Josh Blackwell (Groin)
- RB Roschon Johnson (Foot)
- WR Jahdae Walker (Ankle)
FULL
- WR D.J. Moore (Abdomen/Groin)
- DB Jaylon Johnson (Calf/Groin)
