The pair were both signed during the 2022/23 when Arsenal staged an unlikely title bid

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for two international stars this January, according to a report from Football Insider. The Gunners strengthened their team over the summer by bringing in midfielders Martín Zubimendi and Christian Nørgaard, defenders Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie - and most notably new striker Victor Gyokeres and wide attackers Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.

It marks an ambitious window for the North London club who are hoping to finally turn silver into gold after finishing as runners-up in all of the last three top-flight seasons. However, the introduction of a number of big-name signings does mean that a couple of players signed during Arsenal’s first title push under Mikel Arteta in 2022/23 may no longer have a big role to play as the Emirates club consider cashing in on a couple of big name stars.

Arsenal willing to listen to offers for Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are currently in the process of a changing of the guard and two players which are at risk of being left behind are striker Gabriel Jesus and winger Leandro Trossard. Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 in a blockbuster £45m transfer. The Brazilian had worked under Mikel Arteta during his time as assistant at the Etihad, and hit the ground running with five goals and four assists from his first 10 league matches.

The four-time Premier League winner helped Arsenal return to the Champions League for the first time since 2017 with a second place finish and for large chunks of the season looked on course to win a fifth career league title. However, a late blip and an injury to William Saliba saw the Gunners fall behind Manchester City in the final weeks of that campaign.

Jesus scored 11 and assisted seven in 26 league appearances but has struggled to replicate those standards with just seven league goals across years two and three. He had just started to find form in the winter months of 2024 but sustained a damaging ACL injury in January which has kept him out ever since.

The Brazil international faces an uphill battle to get back into the lineup amid competition from Victor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz - and is at risk of leaving in January as the club look to recoup some of the money that they spent on him.

Leandro Trossard could also leave Arsenal in January

Leandro Trossard joined Arsenal for around £25m just six months after Gabriel Jesus in January 2023 but now looks increasingly likely to follow the Brazilian out of the door at the Emirates. The Belgian, who was signed by Brighton, has an overall record of 28 goals and 23 assists in 125 matches, and has often popped up with crucial goals from the subs bench.

He has rarely let Arsenal down and had 20 goal contributions across all competitions last term. However, following the arrival of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke as well as the presence of Gabriel Martinelli it seems unlikely that Trossard will be afforded many opportunities to shine. He’s played just 37 minutes this season in the league and is expected to be solid in January as part of Mikel Arteta’s latest squad overhaul.
