Manchester City legends Yaya Toure and David Silva have both been praised by Alan Shearer as he gave his verdict on a number of Premier League icons.
The Citizens have been the best side in England over the past 10 years and, as such, have contributed several players to the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Manchester City duo Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero are already in the Hall of Fame, while Yaya Toure and David Silva are under consideration.
A total of 15 players have been nominated for a spot in the Hall of Fame this year, with just two set to make the cut.
Alan Shearer, who is in the Hall of Fame alongside Kompany and Aguero, gave his verdict on each of the 15 nominees.

Alan Shearer says Yaya Toure is ‘as good as there has been’ while David Silva hailed as ‘genius’
Shearer, speaking to the Premier League media team, was supposed to describe each nominee with one word.
However, he went over on a number of occasions – and none more so than Toure.
When asked to describe the City legend, Shearer said: “As good as there has been.”
And when asked to sum Silva up in one word, the Newcastle United legend said: “Genius.”

The Manchester City careers of Yaya Toure and David Silva
Toure joined City from Barcelona in 2010 for a fee of around £24million, which turned out to be one of the bargains of the decade.
The Ivory Coast international became a star at the Etihad, making 316 competitive appearances for City and registering 80 goals and 45 assists.
Toure also won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and three League Cups at City to go along with a host of other trophies won elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Silva joined City from Valencia back in 2010 – shortly after having won the World Cup – for a fee of around £24million.
By the time the Spain icon left the Etihad in 2020, he had done enough to earn himself a statue outside the ground.
Silva clocked up 436 competitive appearances for the Citizens, along with 77 goals and 129 assists during his 10-year stint at City.
He won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and three Community Shields in sky blue.
