Player can earn €80m at Manchester City – Mega contract reported after City seal arrival

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s move to Manchester City has caught the eye of many because of the goalkeeper’s questionable abilities on the ball.

There is enough evidence to suggest the doubts are valid but the move is now under the spotlight in Italy due to the finances too.

La Repubblica report the 26-year-old will be the ‘richest in his position’ at Manchester City.

The newspaper have some financial details about his contract at the Etihad, reporting the Italian could earn a total of €80m by the time his contract runs out in the summer of 2030.

Due to Manchester City’s option to extend it for another season, he can pocket at least €100m in total.

Donnarumma’s wages will rise to €18m per season from €15m per season in the 2029/30 season and if the optional extension is exercised, he will earn €19m in the 2030/31 campaign.

This is in contrast to the previous information from Alfredo Pedulla, who claimed that the player’s salary will rise with every passing season.

There are hefty bonuses in the move too, as the Italy international can earn up to €3m per season.

Out of that, €2m will be earned if Manchester City win the Champions League or the Premier League.

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain will also earn a personal bonus, depending on the number of clean sheets he keeps.
