Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have given their verdict on whether Newcastle United will beat Wolves this weekend.
With the international break now over and Alexander Isak’s departure confirmed, Eddie Howe will feel as if his side’s season can truly begin.
Newcastle United are without a win from their opening three games, and will attempt to change that against bottom of the league Wolves on Saturday.
There is excitement ahead of the game at St James’ Park, with Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade expected to make their Toon debuts. Wissa is likely to start, as the Magpies prepare to ease in their club record signing.
It is a must-win game for Newcastle United, and Jamie Carragher believes they will be boosted by the arrival of their new strikers.

Wright: “When Newcastle have got that energy and they can get one, then they go bang, bang, bang.”
Neville: “We’re going 3-0.”
The last time Newcastle United lost at home to Wolves
Unsurprisingly, the Magpies are the favourites ahead of the game against Wolves.
Eddie Howe is unbeaten against Wolves as Newcastle manager, while his side are also on a three-match winning run over Saturday’s opponents.
Newcastle have performed very well against Wolves in recent years, particularly at St James’ Park. In fact, you have to go back to December 2018 to find the last time the Magpies lost to Wolves at home.
Rafa Benitez was the Newcastle United manager on that day, with his side losing 2-1 in heartbreaking fashion.
Having gone down to 10 men courtesy of a DeAndre Yedlin red card, Newcastle suffered a hammer blow in stoppage time. Matt Doherty scored in the 94th minute to send the travelling Wolves supporters wild.
Seven years later, the only member of that Newcastle United squad who is still at the club is Jamaal Lascelles. He started that 2-1 defeat in December 2018, but is unlikely to be involved on Saturday.
