Man City have officially ruled out Omar Marmoush from playing in the Manchester derby this weekend.
The 26-year-old sustained a knee injury whilst on international duty with Egypt and he has been pictured walking on crutches.
It is not known how long Marmoush will be sidelined for, but the news has not gone down well with supporters on X:

Why don’t they make an allowance for clubs experiencing so many injuries whilst on international duty, like we do?
A free pass from international duty on future fixtures or similar.
It is very unfair and will cost us points

Marmoush lasted 9 minutes before being replaced
The forward started Egypt’s World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso on Tuesday, but he picked up the injury in the opening stages of the 0-0 draw.
Following treatment, Marmoush tried to play on but he was substituted just 9 minutes into the game, with Osama Faisal taking his place.
Man City already have a lengthy injury list
Pep Guardiola’s side are experiencing another injury crisis. In addition to Marmoush, there are nine other members of the first team squad on the treatment table.
Some players could make their return against Manchester United on Sunday. Phil Foden (ankle), John Stones (muscular), Abdukodir Khusanov, Savinho and Josko Gvardiol are not believed to be far off from making their comebacks.
However, the likes of Rayan Cherki (thigh), Mateo Kovacic (Achilles), Marcus Bettinelli (knock) and Kalvin Phillips (Achilles) are still some way off from playing again.
