On September 11, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi Mahomes, took to her Instagram Stories to share a tribute for American right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk. Randi reshared Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt’s, IG post. The post read,
“As a society, we must be reminded that human life is sacred and never disposable. We must learn again to disagree with words, not weapons. That is exactly what Charlie Kirk modeled-he met opposition with dialogue, not violence, and proved that conviction and civility can walk hand in hand.
Evil does not have the final word. Jesus does. And because of Him, Charlie’s voice still echoes-calling us to live with conviction, courage, and hope. Well done good and faithful servant.”

Charlie Kirk, 31, was reportedly shot dead on Sept 10, 2025. This happened during a public event at Utah Valley University in Orem. He was speaking from his “Prove Me Wrong” table as part of hisAmerican Comeback Tour, answering questions from the crowd when a bullet in the neck struck him.
The shot allegedly came from an elevated position, possibly the roof of a building (Losee Center) about 100-200 yards away from his speaking location. Kirk was taken to the hospital in critical condition. However, later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities say only one shot was fired, no other victims, and a manhunt is underway.
