The NFC North is an incredibly stacked division, with three teams making trips to the NFL playoffs in the 2024 campaign, including Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers, who won 11 games that season before losing in the NFC Wild Card Round at the hands of the eventual Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Green Bay only scored a win against a division opponent last season, which was a one-point victory over the Chicago Bears (the only non-playoff NFC North team in 2024) in Week 11 at Soldier Field.
So, the27-13 Green Bay win over the two-time defending NFC North champions, Detroit Lions, last Sunday was one that Jacobs and the Packers took great relish in.

The star running back also shared that the win over the Lions felt much better because it silenced a narrative that he had grown tired of hearing.

“I’m not going to say some wins feel bigger than others,” Jacobs said after the victory over the Lions. “But the divisional ones is definitely ones that you want to have. Obviously, they have a really good team over there. And that’s all you heard about in the offseason — you know, us winning one game in our division. That’s all we heard, so we got tired of hearing it.”
Against the Lions, Jacobs led his team with 66 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.
Green Bay will look to keep it going against a non-division foe this Thursday night, as thePackers host Jayden Daniels and the 1-0 Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field.
