Ederson’s arrival at Fenerbahce from Manchester City and Andre Onana’s impending move from Manchester United to Trabzonspor are causing waves in Türkiye.
That’s at least according to journalist Berkay Tokgöz, [via Sports Digitale](https://x.com/SportsDigitale/status/1966070562851012793), who cannot believe the pair have moved to Türkiye from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Ederson moved to Fenerbahce earlier this month, with Manchester City’s move for Gianluigi Donnarumma opening the exit door. He had already been replaced by James Trafford in the City starting 11 by Pep Guardiola.
Onana is expected to complete a move to Trabzonspor at some point this week, with reports yesterday explaining that he was catching a flight to Trabzon at some point today before doing a medical and completing his move.
The hope is that he will immediately be in the team for the derby clash with Fenerbahce this weekend.
That will mean an immediate reunion with Ederson, who he has faced several times as a Manchester United player in Manchester derbies against Manchester City.
Tokgöz is clearly excited to see both playing in the Super Lig and admits if you’d said that was the case a month ago, he wouldn’t have believed it.
“If someone had said a month ago that Ederson would guard Fenerbahçe’s goal and Onana would guard Trabzonspor’s goal and that these two goalkeepers would face each other, I wouldn’t have believed it,” he said.
