Marc Guehi has received a number of messages after scoring his first goal for England.
The Crystal Palace No.6 poked home a cross from Declan Rice to put England 4-0 up against Serbia on Tuesday, also providing the assist for Ezri Konsa to score as the Three Lions ultimately wrapped up a comprehensive 5-0 win.
Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Henderson – amongst others – have now responded after Marc Guehi posted on Instagram following his maiden strike for England.

The Crystal Palace captain is a popular man.
After Guehi, who Thomas Tuchel praised, posted a few photos of himself celebrating his first goal for England, Zaha was seen to have given the post a ‘like’ while Crystal Palace youngsters David Ozoh and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi sent praying emojis, a reference to the defender being a man of faith.
Henderson – now playing for Brentford – sent the man born in Abidjan a heart emoji and also one showing hands applauding.
Justin Devenny also replied with three applauding emojis, as Romain Esse added a celebratory emoji as well – the aforementioned Konsa posted a heart too after Guehi set up his goal.
Marc Guehi deserves huge credit for staying focused and delivering
As the likes of Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa proved when going on strike at Newcastle and Brentford respectively during the summer, transfer interest can prove to be a real source of distraction.
Therefore, Guehi must have felt all kinds of emotions when Liverpool – the champions of England – came calling, and he had even more right to be irked after Steve Parish initially accepted a £35m bid before backtracking on deadline day.

Despite the chaos, Guehi has scored two goals in his last three games for club and country, also helping Crystal Palace record an unbeaten start to the season in six outings across all competitions, keeping four clean sheets.
The 25-year-old is quite clearly an exceptional captain and professional, who admirably put Crystal Palace ahead of himself throughout a dramatic summer.
