Can Graham Potter’s side keep their momentum going after beating Nottingham Forest last time out? We look ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash with our West Ham vs Tottenham prediction and preview.
West Ham vs Tottenham: The Key Stats
Tottenham Hotspur are slight favourites against West Ham, winning 41.8% of pre-match simulations by the Opta supercomputer.
Thomas Frank is looking to become just the third Spurs manager to win his first two away top-flight matches.
Jarrod Bowen has had a hand in nine Premier League goals in his last nine appearances.
Graham Potter will be desperate for another result to quieten his critics when West Ham host rivals Tottenham in Saturday’s London derby.
West Ham claimed their first win of the new season before the international break after a surprising 3-0 away victory over Nottingham Forest. Late goals from Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paquetá and Callum Wilson – all of which came after the 83rd minute – did the job at the City Ground.

Bowen has now had a hand in nine Premier League goals in his last nine appearances (6 goals, 3 assists). Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (15) is the only player with more top-flight goal involvements than Bowen (13 – 9 goals, 4 assists) since his first game under Potter in early February.
Potter will know his side have to back up their encouraging performance, however. They have only won consecutive Premier League matches once since David Moyes departed the club, doing so in February.
His opposite number, Thomas Frank, needs a response at the London Stadium. Bournemouth inflicted the first defeat of his Tottenham tenure in a 1-0 loss last time out on home soil.
Spurs v Bournemouth stats 2025-26
Spurs dispatched Burnley 3-0 on the opening day but have lost 17 of their last 23 Premier League matches against non-promoted sides (W3 D3). Strangely, two of their last four such wins have come away at Manchester City in November 2024 and last month.
After the 2-0 victory in their second game of the 2025-26 season at the Etihad Stadium, Frank will be looking to become just the third Spurs manager to win his first two away top-flight matches in charge. Ossie Ardiles in 1993-94 and Tim Sherwood in 2013-14 are the others to achieve the feat, though Frank will have to overcome a woeful derby-day record to join them.
Tottenham have lost 10 of their last 16 games against fellow London sides in the Premier League (W3 D3). They have managed just one clean sheet in their last 21 derby matches in the league, with that coming in a 2-0 away win at Brentford – then managed by Frank – in February.
In terms of team news, George Earthy may be fit for West Ham but Luis Guilherme is out with a shoulder issue, while striker Niclas Füllkrug will be out until late September with a calf strain.
Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma could return for Spurs, but James Maddison, Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski remain long-term absentees. Frank could hand debuts to Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani after their late additions in the transfer window, while Mohammed Kudus is expected to play against his former club.
West Ham vs Tottenham Head-to-Head
The last three Premier League meetings between these two at London Stadium have ended 1-1 after Bowen cancelled out Wilson Odobert‘s opener in this exact fixture in May.
That left Tottenham winless in five league visits to West Ham (D3 L2), since a 3-2 win in November 2019 gave former boss José Mourinho a winning start to his tenure.
Despite Spurs’ struggles at London Stadium, West Ham have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches against them (D3 L3).
A 2-1 away win in December 2023 marked West Ham’s last league victory over Spurs after goals from Bowen and James Ward-Prowse overturned Cristian Romero‘s opener.
West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction
The Opta supercomputer struggled to split these two, though Tottenham were the narrow favourites after coming out on top in 41.8% of 10,000 pre-match simulations.
West Ham still hold a healthy 32.7% chance of claiming all three points and making it back-to-back wins under Potter.
Meanwhile, a fourth-straight Premier League draw between these two at the London Stadium was rated as a 25.5% likelihood.
