On the whole, Leeds United’s start to the season has been solid. But for the club’s attackers, there will be a sense of frustration, especially having proved so fruitful in front of goal last season.
Just two goals have been scored in four games, with all three penalties missed in a penalty shootout at Sheffield Wednesday. Only one goal has been scored, and it came through Lukas Nmecha’s penalty.
Willy Gnonto and Dan James have started both games, while Daniel Farke has started Joel Piroe in two of the three Premier League games so far. Nmecha came in for the 0-0 draw against Newcastle at home.
With just 48 hours to go until the trip to Fulham, Farke will be hoping his side can create more chances. Noah Okafor is likely to be fit and ready, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has had the benefit of the break.

Willy Gnonto admits his form should have been better, so far
LeedsUnited.News has predicted Okafor to start against Fulham and if he does come into the side, then it will be either Gnonto or James he replaces. Judging on this season’s form, Gnonto has been much better.
James struggled for Wales against Canada and Gnonto will also be fresher. Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds ahead of Saturday’s clash, Gnonto admits his form has been “mixed” and says he was expecting better.
“I think it’s been okay, I expected better, obviously. We haven’t struggled but we haven’t created as many chances, but at the same time, I think it is a positive start from the team,” Gnonto told Adam Pope.
“We did quite well and we’ve got some points. Hopefully, it’s going to get better. Hopefully it’s going to get better for me too, I would say [my performances have been] mixed,” the Leeds attacker continued.

Daniel Farke will need to rip up the script to beat Fulham
The signs are not promising. Leeds fans will know all about their record in London and it is far from encouraging, and not just based on their first trip to the capital this season, a 5-0 Arsenal hammering.
Leeds have struggled in London for years and actually, have found Fulham to be a difficult opponent. In their last 10 meetings, Fulham have won six times. Leeds need a much-better away performance.
Way above the defensive showing they gave at The Emirates, and far more pro-active in attack than they were at Hillsborough. If Leeds can come out of Saturday’s game without losing, it is a very solid result.
