Since James Milner, no player has played for both Manchester City and Liverpool.
Milner signed for Liverpool in 2015, a time when the Reds were not the elite side they are nowadays.
However, in a few years’ time, Jurgen Klopp turned the Merseyside-based club into one of the best teams in the world and since then, they have been rivals with Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Manchester City banked £64.6 million from Alvarez’s sale as Atletico Madrid ended up signing him in a deal that rises to £81.5 million including add-ons.
