Everton defender Gabarro joins Sevilla on loan

Everton defender Inma Gabarro has joined Spanish finetwork Liga F club Sevilla on a season-long loan deal.

The Toffees announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 22-year-old Spanish international defender joined Everton from Sevilla back in summer 2024, however, her development on Merseyside was soon halted by an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. The player managed to make just two appearances for her new club in the 2024/2025 campaign before being sidelined.

Gabarro is now back to full fitness and she will get back up to speed by spending a season back home in Spain with former club Sevilla. It is hoped that the deal will help the player’s conditioning both on and off the pitch. Everton have been working hard to arrange a loan deal for the player over the past couple of weeks with Gabarro’s wellbeing being the top priority as she looks to overcome a difficult period on the injury front.

Prior to moving out on loan, it has been confirmed that Gabarro has signed a one-year contract extension with Everton. The youngster was set to be out of contract at Goodison Park next summer but she will now remain with the club until summer 2027.
