A lot of the NFL world responded on Twitter to the tragic Charlie Kirk shooting on Wednesday at Utah Valley University during a political event. This country is at a boiling point with politics and also political violence.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III chimed in about what happened on Wednesday on Twitter. Griffin said,
“We need to pray for America. Pray for Charlie Kirk’s family after he was gunned down today and killed. Pray for the family of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska who was murdered on a train in cold blood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Pray for the families of NYPD officer Didarul Islam, Security guard Aland Etienne, Blackstone employee Wesley LePatner, Julia Hyman and all injured in the Midtown Manhattan shooting. The names and places are endless. The senseless murders too frequent. Pray for America because it is broken. Pray for America because we have to stop spreading hate and division. Look at what we have become. God help us all.”
There is no doubt that there is division in this country, and it looks like it is not going to end anytime soon. Griffin has been vocal and consistent about this non-football related stuff.

There is no surprise that NFL fans had something to say at Griffin with his comments. This is what some of them said:

There is no question that there is corruption in America with politics and it appears as if the rhetoric may sadly not slow down anytime soon. Griffin and others can say whatever they want, but the evil stems from the rhetoric of the politicians and this is what led to Kirk being shot and killed on the same day.
