Nottingham Forest star Jota Silva is on the verge of joining Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season, GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Tricky Trees had a very busy summer transfer window as 13 new faces arrived at the City Ground, only for manager Nuno Espirito Santo to be sacked after just three games following a public bust up with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the new manager and while he hasn't taken charge of a game yet, the new boss has already made a decision on a player in his squad with Silva set to be on the move to Turkey.

Portuguese winger Silva, who only joined the club in the summer of 2024, has been left out of the club's squad for the Europa League and is clearly not in the plans going forward.
A move away during the UK transfer window failed to materialise, and now a move to Turkey is set to be on the cards with Romano revealing on his X account that Super Lig giants Besiktas are closing in on an agreement to sign the forward.
A deal is almost agreed on an initial season-long loan with a buy option clause, which Romano says could become an obligation if certain triggers are met. It's understood that the 'green light' from Nottingham Forest is 'imminent' and then the player will travel to undergo a medical before signing the contract.
GIVEMESPORT sources revealed after the transfer window shut that Jota missed out on a move back to his homeland with Champions League club Sporting CP by a matter of seconds, where he would have linked up with his former manager Rui Borges.
But after that collapsed he is now set to head to Turkey with his Forest adventure coming to an end after just one season.
