Everton have enjoyed a resurgence under David Moyes so far this season, with the Blues currently sitting fifth in the Premier League.

The Toffees have won two from their opening three, with Mick McCarthy among those to laud Moyes’ impact since his return to the club in January.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall signed for Everton from Chelsea in the summer, and the midfielder has been a standout performer going forward.

The Englishman has already played more Premier League minutes for Moyes’ side than he did all of last season at Stamford Bridge.

And his new club have benefited massively, with Dewsbury-Hall matching Mohamed Salah in big chances created so far this season.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Tim Sherwood makes bold Jack Grealish call

Jack Grealish has been backed to make England’s 2026 World Cup squad, with the winger impressing massively since signing for Everton on loan.

The 30-year-old has notched four assists in just three Premier League appearances, making Toffees history in the process.

Grealish was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, but the forward will not be ignored for long, should he continue to perform for Everton.

Tim Sherwood told Sky Sports on Thursday that the former Aston Villa man would be in his starting XI for England, should every player be fit and available, selecting Grealish over talents such as Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon.

“I’ve watched Jack since he’s gone to Everton,” Sherwood said.

“He’s given more shirts away than he has passes! He’s been absolutely incredible. He takes the team forward, you roll the ball into him and he holds it up, he brings everyone in.

“And the more players who are technically gifted and can play with each other, the better your side will be.”

Jack Grealish can oust competition for England role

Foden is arguably Grealish’s top competition for the left-sided role in Tuchel’s team, although the 25-year-old has made just one appearance for Manchester City so far this season.

Last season did not go as Foden would have wanted either, with the winger scoring just seven goals and providing two assists in the Premier League.

Grealish, in comparison, has already doubled Foden’s assist tally from last season in his three appearances for Everton.

Should the 30-year-old continue in this vein of form, he will surely be selected over his former teammate.
