It sounds like Buccaneers rookie second-round pick Benjamin Morrison will play on Monday night for the first time this season.
Morrison missed the entire preseason with a bad hamstring or quad (Joe can’t be sure based on a couple of factors).
He practiced last week on a “limited” basis and did not dress for the season-opener at Atlanta. Head coach Todd Bowles said today that Morrison is “trending” toward playing Monday.
Bowles said Morrison would play special teams and the team would try to get his “feet wet” as an outside cornerback. The head coached noted the Bucs defense played a ton of snaps in Atlanta and if the game is like that again, Morrison certainly will be seen on defense.
