**The summer transfer window may have closed in England, but there are a few leagues that still have time left to make further changes to their squads.**

Turkey, Portugal and Saudi Arabia are three countries whose transfer window remains open, although the Turkish window closes on Friday evening.

That's the one that [Craig Hope has said to keep an eye on](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-15088533/Newcastle-stadium-delay-badge-Dundee-tickets-injury-news-Craig-Hope.html) if you're a Newcastle United fan, as there's reported interest from Trabzonspor in Newcastle's club captain, Jamaal Lascelles.

It's not out of the ordinary for our players to be linked with out-of-window moves to Turkey, with Kieran Trippier being linked with a move to the capital of obnoxious dentistry.

Captain Jamaal could be on the move in the next 24 hours

Jamaal Lascelles could move to Turkey in the next 24 hours

----------------------------------------------------------

Jamaal Lascelles didn't make the cut for the Champions League squad this season as Eddie Howe was only able to register 21 first-team players due to not filling the quota of club-grown players.

Missing out on the Champions League doesn't automatically mean that Lascelles isn't still useful, however, as there are plenty of other games in which the skipper is eligible.

However, having missed the entirety of last season after recovering from ACL surgery, Eddie Howe managed pretty well without him, and that could factor into the gaffer's thinking should a Turkish club decide to make a move.

Now would be the best time to cash in on Jamaal Lascelles

---------------------------------------------------------

Lascelles only has one year remaining on his contract, and the arrival of Malick Thiaw pushed the 31-year-old further down the pecking order.

His presence off the pitch would be missed a lot more than his presence on it, with Lascelles being a massive part of the leadership team at Newcastle.

However, times change, and there will always come a point where we'd have to move beyond Lascelles' influence, so if it came at a time when we could still receive some form of compensation, then it would make perfect sense to cash in.
