Kai Rooney has been making waves with academy, but.
The 15-year-old, son of United legend , shared a photo of himself on social media with his foot in a protective boot.
It is unclear at the time of writing how long the teenager will be out of action, but his caption of "Life can't get worse" points to how heartbroken he is at being unable to play the game he loves.
Kai, who has rapidly risen through the age groups in United's academy, is far from the first member of a footballing dynasty to make waves - either at their famous father's club or elsewhere.
We've already United give minutes to sons of famous fathers who plied their trade elsewhere.
Johan Cruyff's son Jordi spent time at Old Trafford in the 90s, while joined United in between spells at the Ajax team where his father Danny served as player and manager, and Diego Forlan's father Pablo played at two World Cups for Uruguay.
