Fine apparently paid for former Packers QB Don Majkowski’s disorderly conduct citation

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WBAY) - A fine for a disorderly conduct citation for former Green Bay Packers quarterback Don Majkowski was apparently paid on Thursday.

Online court records state “Blue envelope received with payment,” in an update dated Thursday. It’s not stated who turned the envelope in.

Majkowski was accused of choking a bartender in late August in Eau Claire. A police report said he was cited, but not arrested.

Online court records show a bond amount of $213.10 in the case.

According to an incident report from the Eau Claire Police Department, officers responded to the Brother’s Bar on Water Street on August 29 in Eau Claire for a report of a man refusing to leave after allegedly choking an employee.

When police arrived to the scene, the incident report said they saw Majkowski standing outside of the bar, leaning against the building. Officers spoke with two members of the bar’s staff, who said Majkowski and another person started shoving each other and the staff were trying to break it up.

That’s when employees said Majkowski grabbed the throat of one of the staff, leaving a red mark on his throat.

After speaking with assisting officers, it was determined that Majkowski would be receiving a citation for disorderly conduct. He was not arrested.

The report states Majkowski was so intoxicated that he couldn’t open his phone to call an Uber. Officers took Majkowski to the hotel where he was staying.

While enroute, the report states that Majkowski told officers he was “jumped”, because boyfriends of the girls at the bar were jealous of him being a former NFL player.

Majkowski was a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers from 1987 to 1992. He was replaced by Brett Favre and went on to play for the Lions and Colts until retiring after the 1996 season.

The citation still lists a court date scheduled for September 30.
