The Carolina Panthers and the rest of the NFL world responded on social media to the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday at Utah Valley University at a political event. Well, a lot of people were very sorrow in this and then there were people who were for some strange reason celebrating it.

Well on Thursday, Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer posted on his Twitter on Thursday,
“BREAKING: The Carolina Panthers have fired Charlie Rock, of the team’s communications department, for an insensitive post regarding the murder of Charlie Kirk, a source familiar with the organization’s decision tells me. Story to come.”
Rock is not the first person to be fired from making stupid posts on social media about Kirk being killed. There have been other announcements about other people being fired from their jobs.

The Panthers social media team made a statement on Thursday morning on Twitter after Rock made a tone-deaf post on his social media page which led to his firing. The Panthers Twitter page made a statement and said,
“The views expressed by our employees are their own and do not represent those of the Carolina Panthers. We do not condone violence of any kind. We are taking this matter very seriously and have accordingly addressed it with the individual.”
The Carolina organization did the right thing by making this move. Sadly, Rock is not going to be the last guy fired for celebrating Kirk no longer being here. The Panthers did the right thing by firing him.
