The Kansas City Chiefs have been atop of the NFL over the past several seasons, led by head coach Andy Reid.

Kansas City has won three Super Bowl titles and five AFC titles with the help of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

As they look for their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance, health is a major factor.

In the Chiefs’ first game of the season, they lost one of their most important contributors. One of Mahomes’ weapons on the offensive end, wide receiver Xavier Worthy, left the game after a collision with Kelce.

Worthy wound up suffering a dislocated shoulder after many believed he may be placed on injured reserve.

While Worthy missed practice several days after the game, Reid made it clear that he will not be placed on injured reserve as he will move forward with rehab.

In the wake of the injury, Worthy is progressing much faster than many anticipated. According to Matt McMullen, Worthy will practice in some capacity on Thursday, as the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Xavier Worthy is playing in his second season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last season with the Chiefs, where the young wide receiver helped Kansas City earn playoff wins over the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills, Worthy posted six touchdowns and 638 yards on 59 receptions.

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. They’re heading into the game at 0-1 after losing to the Los Angeles Chargers to begin the season.
