The Packers shook up the NFC North Division once on the eve of the 2025 season with the blockbuster trade for EDGE rusher Micah Parsons. They did it again on Sunday when they took down the reigning division champion Detroit Lions (27-13) in Week 1, complete with a stifling defensive performance where they held the Lions explosive offense to just 3.8 yards per play. Green Bay mounted a big opening touchdown drive and led throughout the Week 1 contest, holding the Lions without a touchdown until a 13-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff to Isaac TeSlaa with 55 seconds remaining.

The Commanders picked up in Week 1 where they left off nearly reaching the NFC Championship game in quarterback Jayden Daniels’ impressive rookie season. Daniels was again a leading force in a 21-6 win over the New York Giants with 233 passing yards and a touchdown, along with a team-high 11 carries for 68 yards. Rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt also flashed in that performance, turning his 10 carries into 82 yards and a touchdown with a long run of 42 yards.

The Packers and Commanders are set for an 8:15 p.m. ET start exclusively on Prime Video, which comes with a free trial for new users.
