The Green Bay Packers are coming off of a dominant Week One win over their division rival in the Detroit Lions. Here's 5 Things to Watch For!
**The Packers’ Offense**
Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense got off to a hot start last week against Detroit early and often. This week, they’ll look to do the same and get up early on Washington. Jayden Reed, who led the team in targets last week with five, will look to continue his momentum this week, while Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, and Dontayvion Wicks will look to contribute big plays once again in week two. Josh Jacobs is coming off another game with a touchdown as he has had one in his last nine games, which is a franchise record. This next week, Jacobs will look to extend that streak to ten games against the run defense of the Commanders.
**
Micah Parsons**
How can you not make this one of the five things to watch? Micah Parsons on only 45% of the defensive snaps last week had three pressures, as well as a sack against Detroit. This week, I would expect his snap percentage to go up, and he will be lined up across from the Commanders’ rookie tackle, Josh Conerly Jr. Parsons getting into the backfield will be huge once again this week, as Commanders’ Quarterback, Jayden Daniels will need to have pressure on him as often as possible.
**Offensive Line**
There is a good chance that Zach Tom, as well as Aaron Banks will not be playing tonight for the Packers. That brings in the names of Jordan Morgan, a first round pick just a year ago, and Darrian Kinnard, who has only been on the roster for a few weeks after the Packers traded for him with Philadelphia. While the two got to play last game in the second half, they will look to anchor down the starting offensive line this week.
**Cornerback Room**
With Bo Melton out for this week, the Cornerback room will turn to rookie Cornerback, Micah Robinson to play some more snaps this week. Carrington Valentine, and Keisean Nixon will take the starting role once again this week with a combination of players in the Slot Cornerback role.
**Edgerrin Cooper**
Yeah, this guy deserves his own point. In last week’s game, Cooper would lead the team in tackles while flying all over the field. With Micah Parsons playing more snaps this week, Cooper will have that much more freedom to roam the field once again. Cooper and Quay Walker will look to sure up the middle again in a defense that allowed a stout two yards per carry against the Lions last week.
Overall, the Packers have a great team all around, and they’ll look to move to 2-0 this week.
