Manchester United are eyeing Portuguese star Ruben Neves
Manchester United had been looking to bring in a new midfielder all summer, but given how Ruben Amorim couldn’t bring a new face at DM, the Premier League heavyweights would be looking to reinforce their second phase in the winter window. And this is where Manchester Reds are considering a possible January move to bring Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves to Old Trafford. (h/t TEAMtalk)
The 28-year-old is widely known among the fans on the English shores given his six-year spell at Wolves.
The Portuguese maestro has the ability to control games from deep and is really good at dictating tempo. And then if you remember, his ability to strike from range made Neves one of the most consistent midfielders during his time in England.
Ruben Neves can add to Portuguese core at M16

Man United have been looking to bring in an exact profile for a while now. Given how Manchester Reds have been spending big in the recent transfer windows, the midfield at Carrington looks a bit out of place. At the moment, Ruben Amorim’s system needs someone who has that reliable capacity at the base.
This roster needs someone who has that capacity to shield the backline and launch attacks with purpose, and bringing Neves ticks every box.
And this move makes sense. Moreover, bringing in Neves also means he would reunite with international teammates Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford. Then, he also has Portuguese head coach Ruben Amorim at the helm. This Portuguese core could end up being important in convincing him to return to England.
Neves moved to the Saudi Pro League from Wolves for a big-money transfer. And he has done well in the Middle East. But this opportunity to move to a European elite club can end up being too tempting to turn down.

That being said, bringing Neves to M16 will not be as straightforward given that Al-Hilal are under no pressure to sell right now. The Middle Eastern giants have also made it clear how they will only give two thoughts to serious intentions. But for Neves, he is under contract with them, yet more importantly, he remains a key figure for the Saudi side.
If United think he is gettable, he would be a top boy. That being said, we will need to see how this pans out in the next weeks.
