The Green Bay Packers are coming off an impressive 27-13 Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions and now face another test on a short week, taking on the Washington Commanders on “Thursday Night Football.”
One player who has drawn plenty of attention in recent weeks is Micah Parsons, who is making his second start with the Packers after being acquired from the Dallas Cowboys in a blockbuster trade that sent two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark to Dallas.
In his Packers debut, Parsons recorded one sack despite playing only about 45% of the team’s defensive snaps as he works back into full game shape.
His workload is expected to increase gradually, but he already appears locked in, showing up on Thursday night in a sharp suit, signaling he means business under the primetime spotlight.
“Second game as a Packer for @MicahhParsons11 is coming right up,” NFL posted.

Micah Parsons reflected on how surreal his first game at Lambeau Field was in Week 1, and now he’ll get the chance to experience the iconic stadium under the lights for the first time.
“I can’t lie, it gave me chills,” Parsons told CBS. “This environment, the first time, how [the fans] embraced me … this was one of one.”
Packers head coach Matt LeFleur said that Parsons intro at Lambeau Field for his debut was probably one of the loudest he’s ever heard.
“It makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck,” LaFleur said. “Not that I have any — ’cause I go with this bald fade. But it makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck for sure. That might be the loudest I’ve ever heard our crowd.”

During his first four seasons with the Cowboys, Parsons made the Pro Bowl every year and recorded 12 or more sacks each season — becoming the only player in NFL history to accomplish that feat other than, coincidentally, Packers legend Reggie White.
